Nostalgia - Photo Contest

I'm entering a contest at iHeart Faces. Check out their website. I love it. I wasn't sure if I had anything that would qualify for the theme this week. I decided to enter this just for fun. Makes me long for the innocent days of childhood. When life was carefree and time seemed to stand still. Time goes so fast, seems like everytime I blink another week, month, year has passed. When you are young, a week seems like a LONG wait. My concept of time has dramatically changed.

Not sure that I did this right. I sure hope so. If any of you have entered the contest I'd love to know.

Of dreams, creativeness & the excitement of SUMMER DAYS...

I have huge dreams for my future. Not only for my future, but of things I want to do, places I want to go, etc. Anyone with me out there? I have a list of projects at home that I want to get done. Creative kinds of things. I have some old windows I want to scrub and paint a little and make picture frames, a cushion to make for a little chair I bought, more sanding and painting on an old piece of furniute. I wish for a day (at least 1 saturday) where I actually had time to do these things. Seems like my wk nights and wk ends have been full. They have been full of good things, Bible Studies, picture taking, Friends, family, Kids club (Heart & Soul).
I am loving the summer weather and that it is light outside until almost 8!! Between that and God's promise of answered prayer and unconditional love, what more could I ask for?

Peach orchards are in full bloom and looking quite beautiful. I've been itching to do a photo shoot in them so i took my parents with me for some 25th wedding anniversary shots and 2 girls from church. It was fun, but I wish I would have done some things different...I just want to go back and do more. I could live out there (minus the pesticide and chicken manure). :)

I will leave you with one picture from last night. I haven't had time to work with a lot of them yet.

I love the way he is holding the Daffodil straight up. :) Its like a statue.

...and this one just cracks me up how is feet are and he is just wondering what he should do with this giant flower. If he is scared of flowers, i'm surprised he was ok with this one. :)

Sweet Boy
Braxton - 9 months
We just couldn't seem to work our schedules around the nice weather. It was either cold, rain, or I had to work. With the weather forcast looking like lots of rain this afternoon we decided to change some schedules and work with the beautiful spring weather this morning. Staci wanted some "studio" shots along with some fun stuff. My makeshift "studio" doesn't work well with lots of wind, so we had to skip that part. Braxton was so relaxed outside made it easy to take pictures. I love all of his expressions. He looks so much like his momma.

I love this. Reminds me of Winnie the Pooh :) I have more like it I will post later.
